Ophidian Pinotage
This is a grape you may not be familiar with, but as Pinot Grigio should be from Italy, a Pinotage should be from South Africa in this wine Stewart’s opinion. Ophidian drinks like Diesel but at one-sixth of the cost. In my mind, it is the finest I have drunk. Its dark plum, blackberry flavors are a ballet in a glass. With its hints of oak and sweetness playing together they at first deception to its boldness of this wine. It will stand up against sweet smoky and spicy flavors and compliment them perfectly. It is a bargain at 11 – 12 dollars a bottle
